I really enjoyed the story telling in the show. Though it had cliche's, it did not bothering me very much. I enjoyed most of the shows humor, mainly their attempt at subtle slaptick and I loved the animation. They really improved the animation in the season finale, though I did not enjoy the "ball" thing they did at the end. It did not seem natural.

Go korean child labor.

Also, boondocks is a great satirical "american" anime.

Outside of Boondocks' choice of language (which isn't always used in the best of ways) it's rather impressive too. There's something rather quite unique about Avatar. The duo of creators really made something incredibly powerful, that became mainstream ENOUGH, but didn't generate the same type of pop-culture tomfoolery by other such Japanese (or Chinese, a bit more this case) themed stories/series have made. In fact, dare I say the creators accomplished something many artists, animators or otherwise, seek to do for themselves. If anything, it rather quite shows that it IS possible to do in the first place. Also they proved that it's possible to entertain people of other age groups without the use of bloodstained battles, massive amounts of swears and sexual jokes, which seems to be a concept a lot of people simply can't accept.

I'm aware. I meant Chinese by the theme of the worlds they include on the planet, specifically the Earth Kingdom and a little bit in the Fire Nation, and I meant Japanese in the way the storytelling as a lot of Anime-style themes to it. If I'm not mistaken, Boondocks' later episodes had some involvement from Madhouse, which actually IS in Japan unless I'm wrong, but yes I'm aware the animation for it (and most series of that length) are animated in Korea.
