So apparently the director wanted Ken to say Godzilla but he insisted on saying Gojira

he deserved more screentime, he was great in the film. kudos to him for sticking to his guns

I don't see why some people don't just go watch an Ingmar Bergman movie if they're looking for artistic/literary merit. I liked Pacific Rim because it made me laugh and didn't take itself seriously for an effects driven blockbuster, which movies like Godzilla and The Hobbit didn't do.

If you're looking for a more profound encounter with cinema, Barnes & Noble is having their July sale of Criterion movies for 50% off, because you probably won't find an experience like that at a cineplex. Honda's original 1954 movie (and ensuing series to a lesser extent) is still the only version with cultural/aesthetic value. Maybe 2000 as well but that's debatable.

Fight me nerd.

pacific rim was a comedy? it didn't make me laugh once. i rolled my eyes quite a bit though

Bamyasi

I found it pretty wink wink nudge nudge.

Could be denial.
