don't use those three shades of skin tones like you're doing now. use one color for the light, one for the dark. if you want to add variation later, save it for only if you're doing soft shading. and in 99% of lighting situations, the darkest tone would actually be next to the the lightest tone, not away from it. this is what i'm talking about: http://njw61.deviantart.com/art/A-study-in...adow-2-87079224

notice where the darkest skin colors are. it doesn't make sense at first but that is how light works and it's something you never notice unless you start painting and really look

hey thanks, the referance really helps. I just keep on thinking that there is only one light and thats my problem.

Love the face on the the third dude!

rtil

hand on the first looks good to me. girl in the 2nd pic feels a little 'noodley' if you know what i mean, i think she needs more structure to her.third guy has some proportion issues with his arms and legs.  either that or his pants are falling off. i would suggest trying that pose (get a bat), take a pic of yourself. it's a very awkward pose, i don't think anyone would stand like that. fourth is suffering from that static texture issue again and i think you could pick better colors. i think a washed out pallete suits you more

anigen

i'd go practice figure drawing women

i honestly think the legs are fine, but because they have baggy clothes you cant tell the proportions right.
i mean look at where the hips are, if he makes his legs any longer hell look awkward

IMO!

but the girl barely has shoulders:(

I would put a wee bit more crown on the head of her head.  Other than that she looks like on spunky sonuvabitch!
