what characters go from eyes of the dragon to the dark tower? flagg?

The city at the beginning is in many flashbacks in Dark Tower. Flagg is part of a character in Dark Tower. Plenty of other things you'll notice as you read it as well.











Also, The Mist movie was missing a giant lobster, and the Mist is related to the Dark Tower, too. I think the movie's ending was actually better than the novella's though, which has really only happened twice for me. The other time was Fight Club.

The giant lobster in the novella appears around when Mitch dies, I think.



And yeah, Fight Club was a book first by Chuck Palahniuk.

Since we are talking about King, the only book I've read by him was Hearts in Atlantis. I didn't like it that much, but I'm sure some of his other stuff is good.

Anyone know if Hearts in Atlantis relates to The Dark Tower at all? I think it does considering in a few parts of it there is.. well.. a really big dark tower.

Yes it does. Alot. Half the stories in it are passages directly parallel to the Dark Tower, and those G-Men are similar in appearance to DT characters.





Also, the rusty chains of prison moons are shattered by the sun.

in case you didnt notice MRAT (tba\\\'s biggest know it all) i was reffering to the court of the crimson king because in the book "insomnia" it references it a whole bunch and in the dark tower series the bad guy is named the crimson king!!!!!!!

Yep, and there is lots of speculation amongst fans whether or not King got the name from the band or not. The first book was published not long after the band released their first album.

also i'm about half way finished with The Ruins. It's one of the few books I've ever read where there's no real pause between most of the bad shit that happens to the characters. So far it's been a terrific read!

Yep I loved the Ruins. Then I went to see the movie and cried, and cried, and cried.




God horror books are fantastic. Look for some shit by Peter Straub too, if you can.
