i felt like the whole training for 5 years needed some sort of montage.. it really didn't feel at all like 5 years went by.
but i'm ready for action and i like the new characters they've introduced. sasha's orgasms at the mere thought of eating food is something else
also, how the hell did that colossal titan get to the front of the gate without making a sound? did nobody seriously notice that thing coming? no warning bells or sirens? [/spoiler]

You really need to just pick a day and read the manga. They're leaving so much out, the training segment was like six full chapters I think. Eren had trouble learning the 3D-Gear, and Sasha was twice as funny



As to the Giant Titan...well, without spoiling anything, it's much clearer in the anime than the manga that he seemingly appears from nowhere out of that bolt of lightning...

I mean I'm a bit spoilt for that few titles that I have read actually put a lot of effort into the backgrounds and scenery in general... but this looks almost as if it was made by some lazy fan of the anime... even on these three pages you can clearly see how much certain stylistic devices are being recycled and it makes the entire structure seem kinda dull... other than that, comparing the anime to this segment of the manga, I gotta say that the adaptation is pretty damn close to the original...

I started watching it the day before yesterday at a friend's place. I usually hate to watch shows that aren't even finished yet, as, firstly, the long waiting time between the episodes makes it harder to follow the story and, secondly,  cliffhangers like the one at the end of episode for drive me nuts... But since a lot of others have been recommending this show to me recently, I gave in.

I don't know Japanese but I always assumed that line is supposed to mean "I wouldn't die even if I were defeated". Something from the Samurai days where defeat used to mean certain death, so it translates to kill?

[spoiler]i have this strange feeling that somehow this new titan is the embodiment of eren. that back when he said "i can't die, even if i was killed here", really is true. that he reincarnated as this badass titan-killing titan.[/spoiler]
