Anyways, looks quite cool and impressive visually. No idea what it's about though but it's pretty.

Read all of the chapters in one sitting sometime in December, been following it since. Feels like I'm watching LOST, the plot being as twisty as it is. I just hope they don't go the route they always go and give the series an original ending. The more recent chapters have been amazing.

Man that first episode really felt padded/super dramatic, but I guess it can't be helped. Also for a pilot a lot of the animation seemed phoned in. I get the feeling this adaptation is going to turn out a lot like the Gantz anime.

i quite liked the first episode, i'm hoping it doesn't disappoint, even though the really amazing animation was brief i think we're in for some great stuff. i also think this anime is a real breath of fresh air compared to what's been recently popular.

watched the first episode a few days ago per request from a buddy to see if it was worth watching.  I have to say, if I hadn't read in the wikipedia article for the manga that it was about huge monsters that eat people I probably wouldn't have made it to the end of the pilot

damn was it really that bad

it had a strong opening that kept me interested and then a strong ending that caught my attention at just the right time, but all the stuff in the middle about the politics of running from giant naked cannibals or whatever came off as bland and tepid, but I just figured they were doing there best to set the series up without giving away too much and that the next couple of episodes would most likely be really good so I'll probably keep an eye out for them

I guess in retrospect it would make sense that the episode about life in the city before the titans break through the walls and the real conflict starts would probably be kind of boring
