Anyone even remotely excited to see a movie that came out in Japan over a year ago? Premieres in North America this coming Tuesday.

I was lucky enough for my Bakemono no ko screening to have the Japanese track so I'm hoping it works out that way this time too.

would you have to have seen the psycho pass series for the movie to make sense?

Bamyasi

As far as I know it takes place chronologically after season 2.

To answer your question, I actually haven't seen it because I heard hearsay it was getting a theatrical release here. Turns out I was waiting a while!

It might not be enjoyable either way so I really have no idea n_n;

If anyone ends up watching the series I suggest skipping the first episode it sucks.

Guess I'm the only fujoshi on TBA.

So I went with one friend who had only seen season 1, another who had seen both, and one who had only seen the pilot.

We all thought it was okay. The projectionist had trouble getting the DCP to play which elicited some cheeky zingers from the audience. That was the most entertaining part tbh.

If anyone happened to not catch it, you didn't miss much. It was a typical movie adaptation of this genre, over-focused on action scenes when it was dialogue and exposition that made the show somewhat memorable (at least S1).

Same writer to boot.

It wasn't that huge of a clusterfuck, but it also won't be as memorable for the shitstorm it might otherwise have caused.
