I never quite agreed with the majority of the back alleys on this issue either.

It actually does look kinda fun, and I see nothing wrong with trolling Scientology. I have no reason to respect their beliefs, my only issue with these chanology protests is the people who go just to be part of 4chan when they could care less about Scientology. Whether 4chan organizes it or not, it's still a protest against something completely retarded.

scientology\\\'s beliefs are just as "out there" as christianity\\\'s beliefs

the idea of a being that created everyhting in the universe out of nothing is just as unbelivable as the idea of aliens or whatever they believe

the only major difference i see is that it costs moneyto get in to scientology (makin it a cult yeh)

i think you should respect someone's beliefs

sure you have the right to your own opinion and expressing it, but calling someone else's faith dumb by protesting it publicly is like stating it as a fact

religion is a touchy subject and i gather that you're an atheist so im gonna say the following

there's no solid proof that any religion is correct, not even atheism has any proof of it being correct. the fact there are any religions at all is proof enough to me that atheism could be false. saying another person's religion is wrong is just a pointless thing argue about as there is no proof on anyone's side
