No not every single person becomes more ignorant, but religion has and will continue to force people into doing many things. Whether it\\\'s forced by being raised into thinking it\\\'s right or if it\\\'s literally by force. What religion is meant for is really up for debate.

To me it is a bad thing, but I dropped that a long time ago.. and I\\\'ve been more concentrating on how Scientology is less like a religion and more like a scam.
Religion can be a bad thing, and it can be a good thing. I\\\'m sure the victims in the crusades and many other historical events weren\\\'t too happy dying for someone else\\\'s god. And I\\\'m sure a lot of my morals and values I have now are based off of Christianity.

Well there is the issue that they are supposedly being held in a way hostage because the church is essentially blackmailing them with the dirty secrets that they told in confessions.
