Well im buying a 97 Honda EX civic (or Honda Civic EX) I am also buying a JDM B18C(5) Type R to it... the final cost is going to be under 8k and the car is already in nice condition (exept milage which won't matter due to new motor) I was thinking between the JDM and the IUM (i think) B18C5. Does anyone know anything (and not masturbating at porn) know anything about cars? Here are the specs for the JDM

Transmission: Hydraulic
Year: 2000
Displacement: 1797cc
Compression Ratio: 10.8:1
HP/Torque: 210hp@8000/134 lb-ft@7500
Redline: 8900

The compression ratio is fine, not exactly the best for todays standards but it'll be fine for your civic. You could always go for the standard EX  D16Y8.

Hmmm the problem is that the B18C type R is very very good and since its a japanese import, its gonna last and i found a GOOD deal for it. This is how i found it:
