poor quality 'nsfw blogs'

deeply upsetting

"He was shown the smallness and tinsel emptiness of the little Earth gods, with their petty, human interests and connections - their hatreds, rages, loves and vanities; their craving for praise and sacrifice and their demands for faiths contrary to reason and nature."

"...it stimulates the part of the brain called "shatners-bassoon", and that's the bit of the brain that deals with...time perception..."

i always found it kind of bizarre that people have separate art blogs for their other work. are they ashamed of it or what

naturally

i understand it based on being labelled differently for drawing smut. if you're drawing kinks or something you're into it's certainly a different perception from how you'll be judged based on your 'normal' art. separating it from your original portfolio makes sense to me. i'm admittedly embarrassed of the nsfw stuff i draw (mostly because of the content) and i don't really post it anywhere the majority of the time because of that. i suppose there's no point in being embarrassed about it but drawing smut for popularity is equally as silly to me, so i agree with the comic. it's not like noill actually profits from his butts though.

also the 'famous internet artist' comic is pretty brilliant.

rtil

it amazes me how much people care about what others think of their art

soup

this was aimed more at the hordes of bad artists that jump on the betentacled monster bandwagon, for a cheap shot at 'fame'.

separating your well drawn noodz from everything else is fine by me haha

i was unaware that was a bandwagon

that guy draws the same thing over and over again

at least that's how it seems to me, every time i see something with his name on it is some oiled up half animal girl with insanely huge thighs, tits spilling out of something and staring into the screen provocatively

naturally

i'm not really a fan of his art either but afaik he doesn't take his own art too seriously nor does he claim to be all that talented. he gets a lot of critique all over the internet from other artists and i assume that's mostly because of the popularity he's gained.

it totally is a bandwagon right now though.

Bamyasi

Does anyone else find the dA erotic art scene incredibly unnerving? There's like this weird hybrid of western individualism and subverted Catholic/Protestant values mixed with eastern sexuality and porn tropes that just feels unnatural. A lot of it seems really soulless and hedonistic even compared to most hentai, which is disturbing.

Also I can understand why an unemployed artist would want to keep his or her inflation art on separate display from his or her four-panel comic strips (if you catch my drift).

Cute comic by the way.

rtil

the only erotic art i see on dA is what pops up on the front page, and that is usually slugbox, ponies or dime a dozen nude photography

crackers

Slugbox and his thunder thighs. I don't have DA account so I couldn't see the explicit stuff, but a pair of legs like that are made for hurdling, pole vaulting, or crushing heads between them

Stu4U

he has a tumblr account. he got most of his fame from there.

Bamyasi

Damn rtil, how did you get such luscious thighs?

soup

disgusting slugbox link defiling the sanctity of my absolutely soup-erb thread

here are stills from my end of year 4week uni project. it was a video project working with premier and after effects. good fun making it considering id never worked with the programs, macs or cutting and making audio before
