Not worth it. I was elite once. Most of the cool stuff is power user level (invites forum, PU forum if you're into that), the elite forums aren't too interesting and there aren't any special sites that you can get invites to as elite that aren't available to PUs.

what.cd is the only torrent community i've struggled to keep a good ratio. mine is at 0.57 and it barely budges even though i seed 30-some odd things. there's a small window when a torrent is first released that you might be able to get good upload time but i usually miss it. maybe i just have bad luck . oh well my required ratio is only 0.07

Oh, I read that. He said he would get it on the 17th which is the day the album releases in a bunch of different countries. I would be absolutely shocked if the album didn't get on the web by then. Also, these are my What.CD stats.

    Up: 268.27 GB
    Down: 153.89 GB
    Ratio: 1.74
    Required: 0.60

The trick really is to download the freeleeches right when get go up (all of them in every format if you can) and seed them for the next month or so. It doesn't happen often but when it does its amazing. There was a week a while back when everything on the site was freeleech, I got most of my upload during then.

yeah but i don't want to download a bunch of music i don't want/won't listen to just to get my ratio up

Up: 76.85 GB
Down: 44.40 GB
Ratio: 1.73

i must have gotten at least 60 of those upload gigabytes during the new year freeleech

You could just delete a lot of it at some point. Freeleech is the main reason my What.CD stats are so nice. I rarely ever participate it nowadays largely due to my lousy internet connection, but it's the best way to get your ratio up quickly.

rtil

um yeah i know i could delete it but that's not the point. i'm saying i don't care about my ratio enough to download a bunch of shit i'm not going to use. unless i'm in real danger of getting warned or banned i won't do it. i'm 0.5 above what i need to be

if anyone has a what.cd invite please please let me have it, the last 3 or 4 times i've tried to apply for one myself ive ended up sitting in the waiting room in queue for 7 hours and would then have to disconnect to go to work, i will be your best friend for the rest of time

i prefer it to the original tbh

i definitely wasn't saying i liked it more than the original, i would be stunned if someone was able to top that. that said, its a still much better remix than any of the other ones i've heard

i'm just not a fan of pharrell's singing, i think sam sparro did it better

RichChap

i think there are parts of the original where pharell's voice isnt amazing, but parts of it where it comes off really great, same goes for the vocoder. more than not they both work. what really impresses me about the original and makes it stand out is nile rodgers.

Perfectly describes what gets me hooked in a song.
