Strangely enough if that had been done in a traditional painting medium I would have liked it (probably because the materiality of the paint and strokes would have given it body and texture), but just as a small digital piece I'm not that impressed.

yeah im gonna revisit it when i go home from vacation. it was originally meant to be a loose observational thing but i think it has more potential

another good use of color. the character is not as well done though. i think it'd be cool if the character was in the same painted style as the bg

i made the character all flat and stuff because i wanted to stress that they're not in an environment they really feel comfortable in

im gonna make another piece from the inside of the shed with their normal environment in sight so the concept will hopefully become more obvious/maybe seem a little more natural? idk we'll see

i guess i can understand that but i think they should at least look like they are there. right now it looks more like a flannelgraph sort of thing, where a character cutout was slapped onto a background
