However, there's a little bug... All about it and a fix here.

The single player campaign is fucking great!

i'm surprised they haven't released a patch for it. that's like a 2kb fix

if your video card fries because the framerate of the menu isn't capped, it's your fault your cooling sucks

yeah i'm a little surprised that the menu is actually frying people's video cards. stock coolers are shit though, but even so a video card should automatically turn itself off if it reaches a certain temp

Picked up my copy the 27th, and I don't regret it. Like Fuzz said the campaign is great and offers choice in story line like which battles you fight and who you make friends with. The classes are alot more balanced now, so Protoss can't queef all over Zerg, Terran aren't just good for their tanks, and Zerg can't just rush. Plus the editor is fun. Its like the Warcraft 3 editor but much more polished and w/ some more features. What sucks is Battle.net's way of distributing and playing maps. The most popular maps (which are only like a select 5) get played the most and the rest are on a list to be played or something. I don't get it.

Also about the video card thing, I'm running it with almost all the settings on medium and i still get some lag. I dunno if my vid card is any good, buts its a NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GS.

can't wait to play it with you guys. i love rts games but i'm actually not that good at them. i've been playing CoH for the last 2 years and that game is really complicated, so hopefully my practice with that will pay off somehow in sc2. i never played sc1 tbh.

your card is high-end, but is about 2 years old now i think. my new card is coming soon, ati radeon hd 4850. i'm hoping it doubles the performance of my current hd 3850

I recommend you guys get it. Its the same price as a new xbox game (60 bucks) but I think its well worth it. I picked up the Starcraft Battlechest a few years ago which included the first game and the expansion pack which came out in 98'-99. Both great games and I also recommend you get if you want practice/want in on the story.

I wouldn't worry about not being too good at rts games rtil. sure there are some people who absolutely wreck shit with a specific race, but I'm not good either so I think most of us will be balanced. What I am good at I think is the map editor, which I did a course on along with flash animation/web design over the summer a few years back, so I can make maps that are fun
