tried it last night. got through some of the campaign, played a few rounds with j. i really like it so far. i've only played as the terran and the protoss (once). here's some screens of how it looks on full gfx @ 1920x1080. i can't seem to find an option to enable AA though.

i got pwned by void rays today cuz i didn't have any marines ;'(

but then i played a 1v1 terran that lasted a reeeeeeeeeeeeally long time but i eventually won because i denied him any expansions

I won a Terran vs. Terran just because I had a base on an Island with 2 SCVs, a command center, 4 Vikings, and a Starport. I used guerrilla tactics and just kept harassing this guy until eventually I destroyed everything he had. He couldn't get his forces to my vikings in time because his base was too compact. It was epic in the most literal sense.

i never played it either, so sc2 is like playing a new rts to me. so i'm not really sure what you mean. i've been told if you have played sc1 that it's essentially the same game with better graphics.

My guys were too fast. I'd attack, destroy something, and then leave before any of his forces could even get to me. Eventually he split his army to cover more of his base, and by that time my economy recovered enough that I was able to make more vikings to wipe him out.

The games aren't exactly the same... just very similar. The only thing you'll really miss out on is the story. SC1's campaign was hard as balls.

That sounds like a bitch to find... You really missed out on the 3v3v3v3 tho. My team pretty much got raped, but since it was on a custom map, it was kind of broken. My friends and I ended up using nukes from down in this trench you're not supposed to be able to go in. Hard to explain without actually seeing it. It lasted for an hour and a half.
