Vancouver is a nice option, and my duel citizenship would make such a move really easy for me.  Even though much of the world and even I myself feel a great deal of animosity towards aspects of American society, symbolically, I would still feel disappointed and sad leaving for it.

I'd move to Alaska, if I had an insane amount of financial trouble. I'm going to live there this upcoming summer, most likely.

The only thing that's keeping me from going there right now is the fact that I want to do animation as a career, really. All the people that I know from Alaska are enjoyable to be around, though.

I have family in germany and hungary as well... but I dunno if I'd fit in so well in either. Maybe I would. I've never had a chance to visit them.

I know tons of people who dropped out of high school who are still making $20/hr+benefits type wages and even the ones working at places like mcdonald's make a good $15/hr. Though it's pretty redneck here I guess and most towns smell like cows so erf

I'd recommend living in B.C. over here if you think you can find a nice job there tho, but it really does cost a lot more to live there and I think there is a lot less job opportunities there but but It's really a pretty country and even the cities I went to felt pretty clean and nice !!

Also, yes, there is time to stop it but since stopping it would take effort, the government most likely won't do it. I believe that it will be soon (2011 maybe) because they make it worse and worse every month by printing even more money.

well peter schiff was talking about some of the points in zeitgeist since 2002. but he was just your average broker back then.

the government isn't interested in sound economic principles because it would take effort (it's not hard to stop printing money and bailing out corrupt bankers and insurance companies), but because they're merely weak-minded politicians fueled by greed. that's why it's in the people's best interest to vote those people out when they get the opportunity, and replace them with people not interested in politics as usual, and who know whats wrong and how to fix it.

there is a huge movement in the united states right now for this kind of thing to happen, and we already have been voting these kinds of people into office. we also have two bills on the senate and house floor to audit the federal reserve, the secret central bank that prints money whenever it wants to. in its 96 year history it's never been audited, and they don't want to, which means they have something to hide.

if their secrets get out, the public will be outraged, and it will be the beginning of the end for the crooks that almost destroyed our country.

Meh, I think this whole economic crisis is blown out of proportion. I'm not eating out at a mission, I still have a home. Other than watching everyone being obsessed with saving money (not good for our economy) and getting high MPG cars (a massive waste of money if you can't afford it), nothing has really changed from my perspective. I may be some naive teen, but even I can tell that the depression isn't as bad as it was in the 30's. I mean, I haven't seen a massive line of entrepreneurs waiting for a bowl of stew at the chruch. Yes I would stay in the U.S., cuz the U.S. is awesome!
