So, remember the studio that created Gurren Lagann and Re: Cutie Honey?  Well they're back with a new anime series called Panty and Stocking w/ Garterbelt. You can watch the trailer here:

Plot Summary: A company of ghosts has moved into Daten City, taking advantage of human greed. Two angels, Panty and Stocking, are sent from heaven to exterminate them -- but in reality they got kicked out for bad behavior.

Okay, so I fucking love the style they have here. It's like Powerpuff Girls meets Cutie Honey and the story looks like it is going to be so fucking ridiculous. The show is said to broadcast on the first of October in Japan.

the style to me looks more like bleedman meets hihi puffy amiyumi, but the animation and colors are great. i'm not sure what's up with the gir-looking pet thing either. stupid name aside, it looks like it could be fun

The dog's name is apparently Chuck, and just by looking at the name it may have a tendency to throw up a lot. :T

Not a big fan of anime, but it doesn't look like your typical anime show.

I saw the gir looking thing and thought this might be another one of those short lived cartoons gone hot-topic superseller, but maybe not.
