Congrats! I was placed in platinum league for 1v1 somehow. I haven't played a game since...

all the teams are balanced, however it is easier to win playing as protoss or zerg because the game only teaches you how to play terran. although playing as terran you should have learned how to counter different zerg units if you play the single player mode. but that still doesn't prepare you for the kind of tactics human players will do

I tend to watch THIS GUYS commentaries on Pro games. Some of the stuff they do is just really cool. The commentator is kinda douchey, but sometimes its fun to listen to him.

starcraft commentating is hilarious. i don't really get the excitement behind it. i guess you can learn something from the players but it's much more interesting to actually play the game

http://www.thebackalleys.com/dump/files/1/...20win.SC2Replay - an hour long 1v1 protoss vs terran, i'm the terran. he probably could have beat me mid-game with all those void rays and carriers, but when i switched my build to mass marine he kept playing the same strategy over and over. you'll see his carriers get denied constantly in the 2nd half of the game. it took forever but i finally took him down bit by bit

I've gotta say, Teched marines are SO badass. Seriously. BAD ASS!

they had +3 weapons, +1 armor, stimpack and to top it off i had medivacs following them around by the end of the game. protoss carriers are bad at handling multiple targets. their little ships got wiped out quickly, and then the marines would turn on the carriers

I played an online game today for the first time, not a bad attempt, although admittedly i pretty much winged this one just to get my German ally to stop playing 50 questions.
