the menu or the music playing?

when you're on the server you can type !eavesdrop to listen in on someone's music, or !jukebox to listen to a song, but when it says i'm listening, i only hear the game, not the music the jukebox is supposed to be playing.

ok so the music. well first off try opening up the jukebox menu with !jb and making sure it's not muted or the volume is not set to 0. if those are ok try typing 'sm_volume 100' in the console. if that doesn't work i'm not sure what the problem is. it works for everyone else

then i really can't help you, sorry. my last guess would be to make sure windows media player/wmp plugin is correctly installed. but i'm not sure if it will change anything with the steam browser, which is what the plugin uses to play embedded audio

oh haha wow i think you nailed it because i use a mac to play so i use a program called crossover games to run windows games and i was too lazy to instal the correct steam html/ wmp so um thanks.
