True, but it depends on where you look.  Obviously, DA has it's fair share of bad eggs, but I've made some great friends there that I've found as having good morals.  Plus there are some artists there that are truly inspirational.  Just be sure to never visit the forums.  You'll either rot your brain or go into a deep sense of shock before wondering why some people dislike the world. >_>

It has a lot new and cool features like drawing on someone's page (but you are comment banned so sucks to be you)

I haven't been there in like 2 months though so there might be even more stuff now.

i'd say, technically, it's better than dA
