you have some good ideas, but you need to focus more on composition

think about where you want to lead people's eyes, where the center of the piece is (in most cases you don't want it to be in the center), and where the line of action is in the piece (the flow or the rhythm of it)

if you can't find them or think of a good one, you should plan out your ideas more thoroughly before finalizing them

That sounds like the proper way to do a piece. I wish I made more of an effort to be organized.
I enjoy just random doodling for most of my pieces. This drawing and most of my other drawings are started from random strokes with my tablet pen.
I should really start paying attention to these kinds of things.
