Okay so I saw it tonight and loved it. And the sad thing is I can actually see humanity turning into that someday in the future... "FEET? WHAT ARE THOSE? JUST FEED ME AND ENTERTAIN ME DAMMIT." I also enjoyed the way it really let the visuals tell the story instead of focusing a lot on dialogue.

The Chihuahua trailer, however, made me want to poke something with a sharp stick.

Sounds very HG Wells inspired, in war of the worlds, the Martians only became lumbering brains after growing completely Dependant on machinery to do their bidding, they started off as a race very similar to humans. Correct me if im wrong but he was the first guy to really write anything about it.

i agree with this actually. when i saw real humans in this movie it always broke the atmosphere , i thought they were really out of place. i get the point of it, i just didn't like it.

Nah, never got around to it, id like to redo the entire thing as a feature film some day, either that or the more likely option of a graphic novel.

Out of the perhaps 7 or so bad reviews I've read so far, ONLY ONE has actually been a review of the film itself. The other six bring in other external factors that shouldn't even be considered, such as:

WALLE IS A RIP OFF OF SHORT CIRCUIT

DISNEY IS BAD SO THIS MOVIE IS BAD

THIS IS LEFT WING ENVIRONMENTAL PROPIGANDA

even if wall-e is a ripoff of short circuit
short circuit sucked
and wall-e didn't
aaaaaand
disney just has the distributing power, pixar could survive without them
in fact if disney never purchased pixar they'd probably be looking at bankrupcy in the near future for producing too many crappy films that can't even break even with dvd rentals

I still don't understand how Walle is a ripoff of short circuit besides the treads and MAYBE the binocular eyes. Johnny 5 was a freakin machine of war and Walle is a robotic trash compactor with no missiles. And he doesn't really talk either. And he doesn't have a nerdy friend with a beard. And he's not on the run from the military.
