anyway my point was fighting games with rewards like 'play 100 hours and get a new outfit!!!!!!' i mean come on the only reason i can think of someone possibly wanting to do the same thing over and over again is because they can't accomplish anything more important

I play games because i cant hijack cars in real life and get away with it. I cant rocket jump in the real world. And most importantly, because its funner then animating. Sometimes i get tired of working on things nobody really cares about so it feels good to sit down in the bean bag and boot up a game and start shooting people in the face.

huh. i always thought the best thing about animating was personal satisfaction. but if you're going down that vein of thinking, i always found the accomplishments in games to be rather disappointing because no one will ever know or care about them. if you make an animation, someone out there is going to like it and remember it, and it's something you made out of nothing. i find that a lot more special than a game .. plus i do find animating very fun, although i know for some people it's absolute torture.

I animate because i love the results and the satisfaction at the end, im not a big fan of the process itself. A good game makes me feel the opposite, i love getting threw it but am sad when it ends.
