When I was young I didn't have the attention span to understand what exactly was going on in a movie as I was watching it so I see a bunch of VHS tapes my parents have and they feel like the first time I've watched them.

i think the iron giant did badly box office wise, though i thought it was good, but i hate the ending book>film im afraid. Plus why does everyone like cats dont dance? I didnt really like that film, thought it was a bit too gay, even for warner bros.

I just classify movies like cats don't dance by
a) Whether or not I like the songs
b ) If I think the characters are lovable
c) If it's funny to me
d) If the moral isn't too annoying to me

I really think cats don't dance had all of these things ( or maybe i'm just a sucker for the way they animated things  )

i thought the songs were annoying and cliche (though thats animated features), the butler was the favorite character of mine as i foudn the voice actors annoying, i didnt really find it that funny, though it had its moments. I just didnt like it, not my kind of movie, and that little cat was annoying.
