haven't seen it but i've heard a couple times now that the 3rd act is so boring people fell asleep watching it

slightly related i watched zootopia for the first time and it was pretty good. very predictable, but still an enjoyable ride

Bamyasi

I've never fallen asleep during a theatrical outing but if people want to pay 9~ USD for a nap I guess that's their choice.

Moana was very forgettable though. I saw it a little over two weeks ago and have pretty much forgotten everything I thought about it.

rtil

i doubt they paid for the ticket to explicitly take a nap, but got so bored they fell asleep. it's happened to me once or twice

Bamyasi

Oh yeah I figured.

If I'm that bored in a movie I usually walk out or try to get a refund.

crackers fell asleep during the transformers film with the dinosaurs. he woke up later to find the movie was still going. ive never seen anyone look so furious, confused and upset

i was gonna go see moana later this week. so far ive only really seen positive reviews for it, but i havent been looking that hard. im happy to sit through a bit of tedium if theres some other good stuff going on.

Falling asleep during Transformers I imagine is more of a survival/coping mechanism than a response to boredom.

Moana is definitely very pretty (friends and I agreed it made Frozen look like Ratboy Genius), but I think that's about it. The songs are probably the worst I've ever heard in a Disney musical. I'd say it's worth seeing from that standpoint. Just don't go in expecting a masterpiece like Pinocchio or Hercules.

yeh i think we were only there to burn some time in town. in retrospect what a waste of fucking money lmao

thats good enough for me, more than happy to turn up just to see some cool visuals / concepts. not really a disney fan in any way, but i can appreciate the good stuff when it comes around

yeah can confirm this happened, it was fucking dogshit. i also fell asleep during one of the lotr films, however in hindsight that was just cause i was exhausted from my hard life as a lil babby. In transformers case it was just plain shit

it seems we have reached an impasse

Hercules is a masterpiece.

rtil

i feel the movie falls apart  in the last 15 minutes with the titans. the whole thing feels rushed and the animation quality goes down. but it's not a bad movie. not bad enough to justify shooting you in the face with the gun that came out of my amazing rack.

Bamyasi

Too late.
Also I honestly don't remember the last 15 minutes of Hercules but I guess we can agree it's a flawed masterpiece.
rtil

wow, getting aroused by the thought of me killing you? pathetic. at least the last thing you'll ever see will be this perfect pair of melons.
i'll allow it
