i browse the 4chan sometimes, talking about video games on /vg/ is surprisingly pretty decent and /ic/ is almost helpful sometimes

i can't figure out how reddit works ):!

they should but they won't.

that being said it's easy to ignore the comments and just look at the content, especially with reddit enhancement suite, a browser plugin that allows you to look at OP's content without having to open the thread.

i just think 4chan uses an archaic system when it comes to looking for something specific, which makes it a poor substitute for what i use reddit for.

I don't go to either of these sites...in fact the only reason I know the names reddit and 4chan is because people post funny pics on irc from these sites. Thus my knowledge of both is that they are sites where I imagine people waste time browsing funny pictures to look at if you are bored and have nothing better to do. Basically like how tumblr is a bunch of gifs and pics but these are all in one big jumble of links with letters and backslashes to mean something only the insiders know (i.e. /b/, /ic/, /v/ <--I have no idea what these mean).

oh, the /(letter)/'s are the different boards of 4chan. they don't always represent the boards they stand for, but out of the ones you mentioned, /v/ is video games, /ic/ is artwork and art critique. /b/, on the other hand, is "random", which basically means anonymous people on the internet post about whatever they want.

it's not hard to imagine how terrible something like that could be

but whatever you may have just imagined, the actual /b/ is likely 10 times worse...

I dont know...I better just be safe anyways. "random" to me sounds like pictures of things DA kids like/find funny and then go "lol its so random guys! XD" <--gah cant stand that stuff

yeah but this is only one refresh worth of threads. /b/ goes so fast that there's no way one refresh can possibly capture how terrible /b/ is

you should spend 3 hours on there naming off all of the threads to see if you can prove me wrong, that'd be a more accurate assessment
