• religion is coming back, completely re-tooled and you can name your own religions
• espionage is coming back, spying done through a panel instead of through units
• more city state options
• more units
• more buildings
• more civs

i think they are also re-working combat and the combat AI, which is good because it's terrible

with all the content they're adding i would gladly pay $30-$40 for it[/list]

civ 5 gets a fair amount of shit from civ vets for being dumbed down and exckuding features

oh civ5 is not actually an rts, it's a tbs (no real time strategy, but turn based strategy). So it's kinda like playing a huge and very complex board game I guess.

It's like the difference between Morrowind music and Oblivion/Skyrim it just doesn't have the mind-control Pavlovian triggers that the classics do that make you addicted to the game at heroin level. And I want some MIDIs like in Maxis games.

oh god that reminds me; when jordan and i were playing the game with a friend of ours, our friend picked ghandi. Jordan and I were in active war with other countries (cause there were other civs on our continents, but not on the one of our friend). So what ended up happening was that he, as ghandi, had 2 cities which took over a huge fucking continent, border wise. He played on culture a lot and we weren't able to find him in time, thus he won.

ghandi is an extreme thread when it comes to culture and you don't find him in time.

either way, i am really looking forward to the expansion. The Netherlands seem to have some pretty nice abilities. Also, Sweden should have Ikea instead of trading posts.

Somebody told me in the first civ, the leaders were ranked via aggression. Ghandi was suppose to have 1 out of 10, but somehow it ended up being 11 of out 10. The programmers thought this was hilarious, and now its a civ tradition.
