personally i'm pretty excited to see how this stacks up to oblivion, having invested about 100 or so hours into it.



list of changes so far

- dual-wielding

- revamped level scaling

- not to mention a whole new engine

- your crazy cousin fallout 3 spooged all over this game and as a result there are now perks.

- finishing moves unique to each type of weapon.

- children

- overhauled combat system (put a weapon and spell in each hand, or 2 spells in each hand, or put the same spells in both hands for a more powerful effect.

- new animations and faces (aka more emotion)

- speaking of which, conversation is different now, as in no more creepy fixed-eye conversations.

- beards!

- sprinting



and a whole bunch of other shit that i ain't gonna bother writing here.

either way, looks pretty damn epic, and i can hardly wait for it. how about you guys?

My laptop sucks just, barely hits minimum requirements. Should of gotten a desktop could of had something way nicer at the same price or less.
I would buy this game but I think it will just run like ass and will lag to hell or not even work.
Got some mods for morrowind to make it look a little nicer having a little fun with that but its not running so smoothly.

are you still gonna be able to play as a unique character, or will it be the same dragonborn as in the trailers?

Uh yeah you can play as whatever race as normal the being dragonborn has no bearing on your character creation. That was just a demonstration character.

the game ate the quicksave command for me which i find much more bizarre

Same with the new zelda, I'm going to wait until there's nothing coming out for a while to pick this up, since I know it will be a huge... time sponge


While I've played Oblivion, this will be my first elder scrolls game when I do purchase it
