very nice! i really liked the little comic, despite how you see it as "crappy"

<@reptilicus> am I in backwards land?
<@reptilicus> if i go to the toilet will poop go up into my rectum

I dig your work, stu. My only advice would be to add a little more values to your lines, they're a little too light and similar. Make some big, mean, bold lines!

yeah i shit talk my work a lot. i don't think that means anyone else should like it any less though. it's only 'cause i just want to get better, that's all.

for sure this is something i want to play around with as well. i've been drawing too many skinny lines and not as much bold ones. and thanks.

i havent heard of this game until now. i like the challenging angle you picked, but i'm not so much a fan of the soft shading and blurry lines you drew on the buildings. i think a more cel shaded approach would have workd better here. but the girl is cute

thanks. i still think her right foot looks a little odd because of it.

i actually agree wtih both of these things. originally i did the shading differently but thought it looked off so i just blurred it. :/ in the future i definitely want to get around to actually painting instead of just throwing shadows on top of things.

as for the buildings it was kind of a copout 'cause i just coloured over the sketch and never drew the lines.

thanks for the advice, and that would totally fit the game's style too haha.

nah, it's oekaki. not really a huge difference though to be fair.

rtil

well i could if you had used any of the tools that separate oekaki from mspaint

i will, and i agree it does look very mspaint-ish the way i was using it.  i like using thicker lines sometimes 'cause then it gets a kind of sprite look to it and it's fun to play around with.

but i do know there are brush tools haha

ZennyPLUS

I will probably never watch this anime, but I do enjoy your doodles.

naturally

you should, it's pretty uguu. and thank you.

ZennyPLUS

I'll try one episode, if I like, I shall watch the whole show.

rtil

the problem with that is the first episode is extremely misleading

ZennyPLUS

Cause it starts out as an atypical magical girl anime and then begins it's fucked up course, right?

rtil

yeah. i was told that it hooks you at episode 3 or 4.. but honestly it didnt really get me until episode 8. still, it's short at 13 episodes and it does get better and deeper as it goes along

ZennyPLUS

I'll have a go at it then. It'll be the first magical girl show I've watched in a looooong time.
