bugs in the beta who would've thought

Gladius

True that. The only bug that actually ticks me off is the shaking/sinking one, but with luck that'll be dealt with before release.

only one i've gotten myself so far is i got shot and "died", except i could still move around but my body was nowhere to be found. there was just a gun model and my screen was tilted sideways. someone put me out of my misery about 30 seconds later

In the console version there's a lot of stuff like this too, and a TON of screen tearing.

I know it's a beta and all, and so you can't really complain, but still. This is probably the glitchiest beta I've ever played in. It's not nearly enough to ruin the gameplay in any way, but it's something that should be noted. Especially when catering the console players, who are not used to betas and probably take it as more of a demo than anything else

Sinitron

unfuck battlelog and i'll play it

rtil

no vehicles in beta confirmed

QuoteThe rumor says that Battlefield 3 would be available on Steam just in time for the game's release on October 25.

if this turns out to be true i will cancel my origin pre-order immediately.

What if this whole 'not going to be on steam' thing is just a huge publicity stunt to get more people using origin

I would lose even more respect for EA

Gladius

Keep in mind BF3 being on Steam will probably not affect the presence of the battlelog in any way.

naturally

i will laugh so hard if ea was just bluffing. i really doubt they'd go as far as making their own store and still release bf3 on steam though. if it comes to steam i'll get it, but if not i'll pass. stupid make or break but i just don't really care for pc games outside of steam. it's just... easier.

BATTLEFIELD 3 JET FOOTAGE (EXCLUSIVE!)

rtil

lots of companies do that though.. like ubisoft. they have their own store and their own drm, but you can still buy their games on steam. it just makes sense from a sales standpoint.

i don't mind battlelog. i've had way more problems w/ origin.

Sinitron

Origin works for me except I can't find other people through the search function, it has no games worth speaking of and really reminds me of a bad crossbreed between Steam and GFWL. Battlelog, on the other hand, either finds games with horrible lag or doesn't find them at all (even when it pairs me with shitty russians and swedes), it won't let me pick servers to join by myself, and BF3 itself has a really queer start-up and will fuck up half the time. So yes, even if it is released on Steam, the shitty ass battlelog thing will mean it's more likely that I just end up playing Counter-Strike or some shit instead.
