photoshop is awesome with line art if you know how to work with it correctly, even if you use the default round brush tool only.

and yes fuzz, it pretty much is

my general rule of thumb is to make the document 4 times higher in resolution than what the image is going to be exported at for the web

i've tried doing that a few times, but it always make my machine lag a ton, to the point where my tablet is being slow and unresponsive, which makes lines jerky, which kind of ruins the point. even if i have only photoshop open. very wacky.

anyway, new speed painting, Ensce:

trying that whole 'lineart in photoshop' thing, looking pretty good i suppose but it's making my computer lag.

anyway, this is based on the book In the Country of Last Things, which is pretty short so if you have time i really recommend it

one of these days i'm going to have to learn how to draw a shopping cart

lineart is solid
some of the faces are a little disjointed, especially if the eye travels from forehead to the chin
drawing a skull over it on another layer for a guide can help you adjust these things

yeah, are you talking about the top left fellow? my other problem with drawing in bigger resolutions is that i can't see what the big picture looks like until i zoom out -5x or whatever, but i suppose that will come with practice.
