Good cartoons SINCE the 90s

Reading over the thread about 90's cartoons made me try to think about how many good cartoons there have been SINCE the 90s, and even with 2010 not so far away, the list I could come up with is barely a fraction as long:

Samurai Jack
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends
Chowder (Which I absolutely LOVE. I can't remember feeling this way about a new cartoon since I don't know how long.)

That leaves us with a grand total of THREE, all of which were created by people who worked on stuff in the 90s.

I thought Ed Edd n Eddy would've made the list but it turns out it actually first aired in 1999. Most of the time Billy & Mandy just annoys the hell out of me...

So what happened??? Did I just outgrow cartoons or did everything just turn crap when the 90s were over? It can't be nostalgia because I see things from the 90s that I don't even remember and it's still great as ever.

Thoughts or cartoons that I missed?

Catscratch. Do the Clone Wars cartoons count? Maybe Avatar (From what I've seen of it)

In terms of cartoon quality, yes, they have gone downhill. The problem is that it's getting too "expensive" to make these cartoons, since one person can pretty much animate an entire episode himself now with pre-animated clips from a library (I know they did this for Shaolin Showdown; the animators never animated a walk; they pulled it out from a library). Just give it a bit- soon enough all cartoons will look crappy (see: golden age of animation turned into HB TV crap, then that turned into the goodness of the 90s) and the only way for it to gain interest will be in good character design, storytelling, plots, visual styles, etc.

samurai jack was cancelled before the last episode could air, i was really pissed off. I liked the animation style of samurai jack and how they used robots to make up for them not being able to show blood. Although i expect the final episode would end with jack committing seppuku
i dont think ive seen many cartoons that ive liked since the 90's. Anyone ever saw the jackie chan show? It was a cartoon of jackie chan i only saw one episode but it was something else.

Hey Arnold had really awesome writing.

Also I forgot about Avatar. That's not really my kind of thing but it's still a good show.

I'm not too familiar with the story or the characters, but hot dog, the action fighting sequences they have in there are brilliantly choreographed, imo. It's just like watching a kung fu movie (without the senseless plot and bad lipsync of course)

Also, Invader Zim? Surely you can't forget Invader Zim.

Oh yeah! For some reason I thought Invader Zim came out in 1999 too. Fairly OddParents also came out at the same time, (But the shorts on Oh Yeah Cartoons were 1999...)

Invader Zim was good. Too bad it was canceled so quickly. It had a lot of potential. Also, that sucks to hear that Samurai Jack was canceled before they could air the last episode. I think the series won an Emmy.

I use to watch Hey Arnold every day after school and was simply ecstatic about the movie - I think it premiered on the last day of school for me like back in grade 3 or 4, and I went. I loved it - but I was so disappointed to see how empty the theater was.

Invader Zim was truly, truly an awesome animated show. I used to tune in for every new episode, then got really depressed after it got cancelled since they kept saying there was going to be new episodes after the Christmas episode aired... They never did, but I do own all the unaired episodes on DVD now so I'm content. :3

Hmm, what about The Boondocks and The Venture Bros. they may both be Adult Swim, but they both are very well traditionally-animated shows and improve in appearance each season.
