I love it.

The right hand seems iffy. I don't know why though, so I can't help you with it.

Maybe its the pinky... Now that you mention it, it does seem slightly off

i think right hand looks off just cause the fingers are oddly spaced. i tried and its really uncomfortable to hold your hand like that... i think its a fine picture. if you wanna improve the scarf hands make a bigger difference in the stripe size i guess...? i'm diggin this though

hmm... Yeah that might be it (= I usually draw hands oddly ( or so some say) so I'll get to work on that
Yeah, The stripe difference would give it more of an effect...
Thanks

what may be throwing anything off are the thumbs. they're the only things in the drawing that bother me. thumbs are tricky because the only way to draw them is to think of them as appendages to a hand, whereas most people treat them as just another finger. really, the thumb as a whole if you move it around on your hand, the muscles take up a good chunk of your palm as well. i think you got it right on his right hand, but on the left, it seems a bit distant and not fully fleshed out yet. the index finger is great, but  you should be able to see the side of the middle finger according to the perspective. right now they sort of look like nubs.

however, this kind of stuff can get REALLY unnecessarily messy and usually ends up looking retarded if you start going into this extreme detail. so, the best way to tackle this is to start blocking out the hand in very light 3d boxes. once it looks right to you, work it over in your style. never reference photos for things like these because photos tend to flatten the kind of perspective you are using. look at your own hand for help instead.

anyway, like i've said before, your sketches are really full of life and so are your characters - something i do not see very much of.

Hmm... Yeah. Now that you mention it, the thumb on the left hand looks like a block attached to the rest of the hand. I noticed the nub thing but I couldn't quite get it right so I guess I just scanned it and forgot to try again

Yeah, I usually use my hands as references (= I find it easier than looking up for references anyway

Thanks for the compliment and advice

Originally, I was gonna make him hold the same things but I thought that was too monotonous
