last night i went to a polysics/outlines concert and it was the most fun i've had in a really long time. i also think i got permanent hearing damage at the show, and i'm not kidding.

Bah, were you in the mosh pit or something?  I was in one during a Jimmy Barnes concert... and my seat just happened to be right in front of the biggest set of loud speakers there that sent out some heavy vibrations.  Fortunately though, I came prepared.  I had an excessive wax build up in my ears. XD

Anyhoo, I'd say my fav music is moreso from OSTs than from actual bands performing.  There's something more epic to hear in movies, some TV shows (Like Battlestar Galactica's OST.  Couldn't give a crap about the show itself, but I love the music...) and animes, like Last Exile, (for it's orchestrated works) to something more like Cowboy Bebop, thanks to Yoko Kanno.  Otherwise, I'm a fan of the ol' bands, and I absolutely loathe country, unless if it's performed by a small select number of musicians that are probably dead now.  I can't stand Death Metal or other hardcore crap either.  c'Rap' too...

the venue was rather small, no seating or anything. there's the pit, the back area that is seperated from the pit by a few stairs and a handrail, then a bar to the right of the stage. once polysics came on, me and the person I went with found our way into the pit and eventually pushed our way up to being square in front of the lead of the band. damn loudest thing i have ever heard, but believe it or not it actually wasn't the band that caused this continuous ringing in my ear, it was some rancid smelling punkster kid that screamed in my ear during the concert.

if i don't think about the ring i don't hear it. but since i'm typing about it now, i can hear it. pretty annoying, i'm hoping i can get something done about it.

oh god, moshing rocks so hard! but only to things that you can mosh to, I've heard of people moshing to some stupid things before, like Beastie boys, but not that i don't like them, you just can't mosh to that, you gonna mosh to things like "Tugnut" or "No means No" or something like "Wayne Powerman" at least, but don't mosh to rap or soft rock, come on!

well, i could imagine the beastie boys having a bit of stage presence with their   heavy chords and catchy beats. but a beastie boys mosh doesn't compare to power electric/metal.

yes, the best mosh i was in was in a 10" by 12" room, to tugnut with 18 people, it rocked, exept for, alot of them were smelly puck rockers, i'm a cleanly punk rocker!

i went to one a couple years ago and they were everywhere... and that was before 'youllrebeltoanything' cameout... its just gotten a lot worse. There was a girl with pink dreadlockes, rubber pants and a sassy attiitude. :[ Its kind of hard to enjoy yourself when everyone is judging you for not dressing like a freak

so what if people dress different than you, and if people were insulting you for dressing normaly, then there just dicks, but don't mock the whole culture, thats my culture.
