nice work with the chin, gives the face more dynamism. clean lines, too. next you should try working more with the movement of the head and its features overall. our heads do not stay still when we talk, or sing for that matter.

yeah for sure I just made it fast. Nothing special, I am also considering switching to the brush tool but, it's gay to get acquainted with so, probably not lol.

the brush tool is what will give you a more powerful edge on animation. might be more difficult to master, but i find the line tool to be stiff and frustrating.

i like having line width variation, something that the line or pen tool does not give you.

but then again, the brush tool is hardly worth trying to master if you don't have a tablet, because then your lines won't vary in size anyway.

look at Paul ter Voorde, he has mastered the brush tool to an extreme and he doesn't have a tablet! Ironic thing is though, he is getting one for free from Tom this week.

paul uses conventional tricks in flash to escape the mouse brush fallbacks. if you zoom way into his images you can see the lines are rather shaky, but these are because they are drawn at an enormous size, then scaled down later. this reduces popping and jitters during animation. it also takes him a very long time to finish animations (no offense to him at all, he is an excellent animator, it's just something you deal with with a mouse and a brush.)

and tom has been sending out numerous wacom tablets, it is exciting to see his generosity to the flash community. he has done so much for the flash world since he started newgrounds.
