Hmm, I don't see anything wrong with a long movie.  In a way, it's better, because if LotR's trilogy was done in only half the time, the character development would have been almost non-existant.  Considering that Tolkien's books (I haven't even read one yet...) are said to be massive epitomes of description; you'd never do the story justice with the time frame of a hollywood action flick.  But yeah, fair enough.  If you don't like long movies, don't watch it.  It's not meant to please everyone.

lol, and I still laugh that Sean Connery was approached about being a character in it, but he refused because he 'just couldn't get it'.  The story I mean.  How in Lord's name can you not understand LotR?  You take one ring, add a few heores, some ugly villians, a few pitches of black pepper, some sprigs of ancient talking wood, a hot elf chick, and the gizzards of massive CG battles.  Put them all in a boiling pot of lava; wait till the ring melts, and voilà!  You have an emmy award winning masterpiece.

i'm amazed at that it doesn't even look like flash. he's got some nice effects over all his layers and he certainly knows his way around motion tweens.
