Most of these things are easy enough to find out, though so is a lot of the other crap you get taught in school. Some others are easier to put off if you have one of those friends who are really into cars, because you know you can ask them for any solution to any problem when you come to that bridge. Obviously you could argue that if you're unwilling to learn the stuff in your free time (instead of posting Facebook pictures you think people will appreciate) then you don't deserve to know, but in any case I don't see much harm in having learned this stuff obligatorily in school. It would just kind of make a whole lot of sense to know more thoroughly the ins and outs of cars than a dead language that nobody uses.

A lot of people don't have anyone to teach them stuff like that though, because either their parents are working or don't give a fuck and all their friends parents are the same way and nobody talks to their neighbors anymore let's be real.

That said I don't think getting schools to teach it is the solution. It's like people want the nanny state to fulfill every parental responsibility so they can have an excuse when they realize they didn't put any thought into having children.

Kirk is about as generic a guitarist as has ever walked the earth. There are exactly 2 good musicians that have ever been in Metallica. One of them died in a bus crash, the other got kicked out and started Megadeth.
(Well, I suppose that's not entirely true, both bassists they've gotten since Cliff have been great, but Lars doesn't let anyone but himself, Kirk, and James write any material, so they're glorified session musicians.)

Bill Ward, Clive Burr (R.I.P.), Nicko McBrain, Dave Lombardo, Gar Samuelson (R.I.P.), Nick Menza, Gene Hoglan, Brann Dailor, George Kollias, the list goes on and on ad infinitum.

Lars is an untalented hack and has been since And Justice For All came out. Even in his prime, any of these people at their worst could have drummed circles around him. He was, at his best, competent, and honestly since the '90s he's slipped so far that even an untrained ear can tell he's off by a 16th note every damn hit.

Also their last great album was Ride the Lightning. Every song on Master is overlong, AJFA is about half good, but half bland, and the production fucks even the good songs all to hell, drowning out all bass. Don't even get me started on the Black Album or later material.

trump has a very good chance of winning too if you think about it. the DNC will not allow Sanders to become the nominee, and seniors - who favor Hillary - are turning out in much higher numbers than youth for the vote, making Hillary the inevitable democratic candidate.

Trump is destroying Rubio and Cruz on the republican side. one of them has to offer the other VP and have them drop out to have a chance at stopping him. the establishment already spent a ton of cash on Jeb and that turned out to be a waste. i think Trump will pounce on Rubio before Cruz does for VP and then you will have a Trump/Rubio ticket. Cruz is also unlikable and made the mistake of angering Carson voters with his lie for more voters in Iowa.

by the time the general election comes, Hillary will have been indicted for her email scandal and it will sink her campaign.  she can try to delay it as long as she can but there's no way she can hide the truth for that long. the people who already know how bad it is have advised her to drop out of the race, but she won't.
