ITT: post dumb stuff you used to like when you were young and dumb.

I'll start:

When I was in middle school/early highschool I enjoyed the work of mdotstrange.

In my defense I really liked it more in concept than execution. Part of me always knew WATS was unwatchable, but I forced myself to like it anyway because part of me identified with it.

Thankfully rtil set me straight shortly after I joined this forum!

I don't deserve to be alive right now

i knew i was trash then, i know im trash now. i have accepted the trash lifestyle

"He was shown the smallness and tinsel emptiness of the little Earth gods, with their petty, human interests and connections - their hatreds, rages, loves and vanities; their craving for praise and sacrifice and their demands for faiths contrary to reason and nature."

"...it stimulates the part of the brain called "shatners-bassoon", and that's the bit of the brain that deals with...time perception..."

soup

I used to be a brony. Pls don't ban. Also I listened to metalcore near exclusively. Thank god that stopped.

Dookie-era, or American Idiot-era?

Never been a fan of The Black Mages, but the early Final Fantasy OSTs are fucking fantastic.

Not even touching this one.

Yeah that band fucking sucks. I don't know why I listened to them almost as much as Nobou's actual arrangements. Maybe I just secretly wanted approval from my metalhead friends.

Yeah the early games had great soundtracks but listen to the 7-10 OSTs and tell me those aren't god-tier too. Especially 9 goddamn.

On the common topic of music, I used to like an awful lot of the heaviest metal with the throatiest screams, regardless of how complex or intricate the actual music was. There's very little in the way of music that I hate, but a lot of that old stuff I used to listen to bland, the bellowing completely replacing any melodic vocals is unappealing, and any old music files I've dug up on my parents' computer are usually awful in quality to boot.
There's a particular band and particular song that is on the tip of my tongue as the perfect example of this, but I'm having trouble finding it. I believe I found them first in a sample CD from 'Metal Hammer', a metal magazine to which I was subscribed to a year one time as a Christmas present. The band was called the '___________ Brothers', I think, and the song title might have been robot-themed and might have had a 'K' replacing a 'C' somewhere, because that's obviously bad-ass. Also the chorus contained the alleged word 'motherfucker', so obviously I was being really cool and edgy by listening to it. Darn, this is going to bother me for a while.
Anyway, 'Atreyu' is another band that's a fair example. They recently reunited after having been broken up for a while and I was excited to hear their new stuff. Then I heard their new stuff, and after being a bit miffed, I went back and listened to their older work and was equally disappointed. They're... passable. I think this is the second time I've listened to them this year: http://youtube.com/watch?v=bYlKLyRs-Kw/

More recently, I used to play League of Legends a lot. How embarrassing.

I use to be really into Hatsune Miku and vocaloid when I was 12 but I really don't like it anymore. Also I use to watch anime. And like @Protochaud I was into MLP when it was all the rage but I only went as far as watch the first season. Other than watching the show I showed no other interest in it whatsoever

Binary_2

I honestly can't remember anything I liked that everyone hated and agreed was bad.

Maybe wii motion controls but I still like them kinda, as long as it's just point and shoot. Playing Okami on the wii was literally hell on the wrist.

Yeah same, I was interested in them 3 years ago, I only listened to their music and bought a juggalo snap back from hot topic but I lost interest after I realized that their lyrics are a bit too edgy for my tastes and that almost every song is about the same shit.

I used to be obsessed with Tibia. Look at this shit:

Solid months of my life gone to this nonsense.

I just looked up my old character names and found some Wikis and fansites and forums with my posts and "content", and Jesus Christ, it's making my anxiety flare right the fuck up. Clutching at my heart in pain rn.

I found it, for those interested: http://youtube.com/watch?v=RF1vGXiZOoo/

All it took was looking up the magazine online and guessing what year it was and looking through all the sample CDs from various artists they'd released that year until the name caught my eye.

From what I can see here this game looks so much like runescape. I had flashbacks to "buying gf"

Oh god, I forgot all about Runescape. I was into that for a little while, too. And Adventure Quest! All those shitty free MMORPGs. I had so much time to kill.
