i agree

i've probably told this story before, but when i was in high school i drank a metric fuckton of vanilla coke. about 2-3 20oz bottles every weekday. maybe more. they were only $1 for each bottle and the vending machine was by most of my classes so i found myself buying a lot of it. that's how much i liked it

despite drinking that much fucking soda i wasn't all that much overweight. 5'10" and 170lbs, maybe a little more. but after about 2 years of drinking the stuff like it was water in the sahara, i decided maybe it was time to stop because i never had any energy and didn't wanna gain anymore weight

after only 1 month of simply not drinking soda, i lost 10 lbs. i wasn't even exercising -  just stopped drinking soda

i haven't had any vanilla coke since, i do kind of miss it but i think it'd be too sweet to me now. i always hoped they would make a vanilla version of a stevia-flavored cola, but so far no one's done it. there's "dry" vanilla sodas, but they aren't very good.

I have no clue about why people like diet coke, the people who like it seem to be mainly moms and programmers, I know in the Id biography it said John Carmack couldn't work without having diet coke close at hand;
I guess it's because since it doesn't have calories people think it's some kind of freebie drink?

You can get vanilla coke zero, it might be too sweet and I don't know about your stance on artificial sweeteners, but I find it to be pretty damn good
