I came up with it years ago as a nickname for an original character I never really used. A quick search showed that the name "Zwimmy" hasn't been taken by anyone noteworthy online nor is it the name of any fictional characters. It's original and I like it, so I decided to go with it. Plus I was getting sick of my old name. Seanny isn't very original and I'll be changing my real name, which is Sean, sooner or later. (not to zwimmy, that's just my internet name lol)

you should try experimenting with your lines and color them in something other than black. i think your stuff would pop out more that way.

Personally I never liked that, I prefer black lines a lot more. I really do need to try new coloring techniques, though.

i think you would benefit from at least coloring your lines something other than black even if it is just one color. picking the right color depends on the tone of the piece, but i think black is too harsh in most cases especially for characters. that being said it's not like there's anything wrong in coloring with black but it's good to try different things sometimes. especially since your lines are quite thick and are very dominating in your pieces

i would recommend studying warm and cool colors, color theory, and using reference / borrowing swatches from your favorite stuff to experiment with color a bit. also i'm not sure if you're in photoshop or flash here but if you are in photoshop doing some blending work in lab color mode is good practice.
