Or are you speaking about the breast cancer donation/charity in general?

rtil

read my first reply - i said the reason why breast cancer awareness culture is so prevalent is because of the Susan G Komen "For The Cure" Foundation, a "charity" that spends most of its time making a profit on selling breast cancer "awareness" merchandise like pink ribbons, corporate sponsors for marathons and bullying other real charities. they raise more money for breast cancer than anyone else but their overhead is insane. so it's because of the Susan G Komen foundation that you believe breast cancer gets more attention than it deserves, and since you won't donate money to a deserving charity like the BCRF, you're only hurting the real cause because of the side effect that is the Susan G Komen Foundation.

ZennyPLUS

You've persuaded me, I've made a donation to BCRF.

rtil

this feels like the first time i've ever changed anyone's mind about anything on the internet

ZennyPLUS

I respect your opinion and word, rtil. The evidence and data made it seem like a logical decision.

But in all seriousness, you're a friend so why wouldn't I listen.

rtil

because i could secretly be leading you down the path of darkness

but don't worry, i'm pure of heart :atta:

shmeckelbutt

We all know why, lol.

rtil

kirb was a cleanup animator on it. i did a little more than that, but yea he did work on it. and yes it's kind of hilarious i guess :wile:

Gilthwixt

SG is down by 5k now. That escalated quickly.

rtil

nah not really. trihex has been streaming the last 3 days.

what i'm more concerned about now is that super street fighter 2 turbo has gone up from ~$1k to $28k in the last few hours

I'm not surprised at all. Those SF fans are pretty hardcore.

rtil

the funniest part is nobody knows where it came from. they stopped at ~$34.4k, just enough to get ahead of melee.

tomorrow's going to be an interesting day

Rusty

Last ditch 50k from a mysterious Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo benefactor would be ideal.

rtil

i just wanna know where it came from haha

rtil

well, skullgirls lost, but it was still an amazing day. at the beginning of the day, the tallies were $30K for SG and $38K for SSBM. at midnight, they standed at $78K and $92K respectively. the SG stream also topped out at around 2.4K viewers. at the end of the night, MikeZ made a great speech thanking the community and revealed the beginning work of Squigly for DLC. we also got the word last week that PC port is in the works. even though SG won't be on the main EVO stage, we proved that our community is strong and dedicated, and i think it is the sign of good things to come in 2013 for the game. :)

Hnilmik

Not bad for a "supposedly dead indie game"~

Ports, patches, and colors were one thing, but seeing the first DLC actually feels like progress!

rtil

and you were actually there! that must have been fun. they were streaming very late in to the night

cipher

link won't work, but I take it that's good news
