oooh yeah i noticed the textures you made. Maybe they're just in there as placeholders or something for now but i get what you're saying here.

I already talked to Zekey about this and it was a misunderstanding. I'm totally psyched to get slapped with a little bit of drama the moment I post here, though. Let's forget this happened and if anyone else has a problem they can feel free to message me personally?

i have more friends to tell about it, specifically irl. the hardest part is going to be keeping up the initial momentum in donations. eventually someone's going to have to post it on reddit with the words "indie game"

honestly it doesn't look very good, the gimmick is interesting enough but from the preview footage it looks really bad in-game, as if it's really basic with simple building blocks rather than a powerful tool for creating your own maps

this is bad because the rest of the gameplay looks poor as well, like it doesn't actually look fun to play as the moveset appears basic and watered down and all it has going for it is the map design mechanic which needs to go through more iterations before it can be considered worthwhile

are you going to let people set up custom props too? like plants or torches to create atmosphere? different lights, bugs flying around, etc? just playing a terraria knockoff would be kind of a waste

as for the designs, the main character looked like he was flailing a dildo around until you showed the stills at the end and he's not cool or appealing, looks more like a random npc design when you ran out of other things to stick horns, spikes and dicks on, like a goblin or some shit

also what's to stop people from making levels with nigh-impossible jumps to gain 'rewards'?

i also think billy's performance in the video was kind of dull (why is the camera pointed up into your fucking colossal nose? why the fuck did you barricade your window you weird fuck??) but ryan talking about crap like keyframes and shit isn't all that informative or interesting to people who want to learn about the game - anyone interested in the design process would know, and everyone else would probably not care

rework the main character (or better yet, add character customization), make the movesets more interesting (or add a ton of shitty combos, every faggot and their gay dads love that garbage) and vastly expand, flesh out and explain the map design mechanic (most important since this is the gimmick the game relies on to stand out)

what you see in the video is just a portion of what we have planned for the game. what led you to believe what you saw in the demo video was all the gameplay is going to entail? billy had me do only a fraction of the game animations that the main character will have. the rest of the characters are placeholders, and artists haven't even touched the environments yet. were you expecting a fully finished game in a trailer for a kickstarter?

i guess you didn't bother to read the FAQ. it's one of the first questions answered. levels will be gauged by difficulty - so if a level is near impossible, the player will know before entering it, and the rewards will be higher. if it's literally impossible, it won't make the cut.
