Miku-UK needs YOU.

http://www.miku-uk.com/

This is a non-profit community project to create a 3D hologram effect concert, currently, we need:

- More 3D Artists and Animators!

- More Audio Staff

- Choreographers/Dancers

If you are interested in helping out, contact us via our Facebook, forum or Twitter , and post samples of your work. Even if you do not fit into the above categories, you are still welcome to help on the project by posting your thoughts for us to take into consideration.

Also feel free to ask me to directly you where you need to be going if you want to help out.

You don't have to be based in the UK, either!

Here are some example videos of what you will be helping with trying to do. Hopefully it will give you a better idea of what this is.

This is a newer rip of a more recent concert.

I could be interested in doin this. But I need to know more.

Incredible, I had no idea Miku was this popular. I mean, I know she is on the internet, but still that's impressive.

[fish]

When she played in the USA people from hong kong and all over the world came to watch! They sold out even.

I know it does seem a bit silly but it's a pretty neat form of a art IMO !

You're quite welcome to ^^'
Don't worry if your chops are a bit out of practice, Ideally to keep production rapid we're planning on using mo-cap data to play around with in the end so hopefully that will take a lot of headaches out of the animation process.

I could be interested in doin this. But I need to know more.

Ask away, although I might respond in a PM if it's asking stuff I don't want to really post up on the site yet.

Cheers!

so you guys do use maya then? is it a specific version?

[Gladius]

so have you hired an armorer yet

because if you're really brave enough to go through with holding this thing in scotland, you're gonna need one for all the rocks and bottles poor old miku is gonna have coming her way

just sayin'

[Sinitron]

my neighbor is a blacksmith he could probably help you make a suit of iron and steel (but it's gonna cost you an arm and a leg, old school blacksmiths are rare these days)

[Gladius]

was thinking plexiglas actually but that could work too

[fish]

Armoured Mikus

[MacroBlock]

We thought about creating her some kind of body-suit but then realised that even if she wore it, it would still be projected on glass.

However we intend to use plexiglass + holofilm so we should be OK, beer bottles in theory will either cause it to crack horribly or bounce right off and kill whoever threw it.

On a more serious note, the president of Internet-Co. have asked us to use their vocaloids such as Gumi at the show too, so hopefully we might see them on stage.

[Gladius]

now she's all set for scotland

gonna need a tank before she can consider glasgow though
