With consoles if you try to push the envelope you get ugly, buggy, low-fps garbage (which GTA4 was)

If you play it safe you get smooth, fast but unremarkable visuals

I would choose the latter any day of the week because pushing half-decade-old hardware is MEANINGLESS and it's incredible that anyone is still gullible enough to care

You picking GTA or Saints Row depends on whether or not you want mindless dustruction with no consequences or a more gritty and serious attempt at crime sandbox with interspersed calls from that cousin you hate for added realism. Gamers just need their imaginary battles between identical corporate products that won't be affected by their devotion in any way, i.e. MW3 vs. BF3. It's a hell of a good time to be a publisher when you can get so much advertising for free and not make good on 75% of your promises.
