I think Clone high was pretty good from the 4 episodes casey mixmantro showed me and i havent seen many 80s cartoons but id like to know this list of 80s cartoons you're all referring to

I can't really say myself what I think of Canadian cartoons because I don't really watch much TV, but I have seen a lot of good short animated canadian films. Of course, they're better because they're made usually by smaller groups of people with the same vision, and not just for money. Such is life, blah blah blah...

But yeah not sure why people think this will stick.
