So, I'm making an art thread, I guess.
I value a lot of your opinions, so this should be fun.

Let's start off with this:

This is a concept for the main character of a PC game my friends and I are going to be making for the next forever.
I'm curious to see what kind of personality traits you can pick out from her, if any.
Her name is Milk.

W.A.S.I.M.

Haha, I had just broken into custom brushes. I guess it is pretty obnoxious.
Don't mind me, I'm just playing with crayons!

Does anyone have any legendary ps7 brushes?

I'm... I'm home.

i think the textures work on the scarf and her skin, but not on her hair.

I really like her design, especially her scarf. the only thing that seems off is her eyebrows showing through her hair. i would avoid using black for the eyebrows, but instead use the shade of her hair to show that her eyebrows are under her bangs.

Milk seems to be very adventurous, as well as a strong leader. and she likes pizza!

<@reptilicus> am I in backwards land?

Thanks for the input, I really appreciate it! I'll be sure to roll out a full-body shot, soon enough.
I'll try out the eyebrow shading, and hehehe pizza.

Commencing small art-dump!!!!!two!!!

I made this out of the blue after a brutal art-block, it was the first thing in a long time I had fun drawing.

This was the premier image to my "Dual-Wield" group on Deviantart. Check it out, if you want.

I think I'm finally confident in my art skills, I used to feel behind for my age. Are there any things I should BRUSH up on? (hee hee)

GhostingFish

These look really great dude and btw how old are you?

RadWalrus

I have a late birthday, so I'm a sixteen year-old among 17-year-olds.
I guess I should've just said I'll be a senior this fall, haha.

rtil

since you asked, here are my opinions on what you could work on..

first i would say is colors. not your color choices, but your toning. i feel like your tones are not bold enough, they are just slightly blacker versions of the the light color. i think that takes away from a piece. if you are going to use tones, you should pick something more alive. something warm, something cool.. go ahead and actually pick a new color , don't just go over it with a gray or move the slider down on the brightness.

you kind of did this better on the guy. the toning is more apparant and bold, and i think that it makes it a stronger piece.

second i think is anatomy. and when i say this a lot of people think i mean your art should be more realistic - but that's not what i mean. but in order to play with anatomy, bend it and exaggerate it into your style, you must first understand how the body is put together and its shapes. a couple things stand out to me, to be blunt, the girls width of her shoulders, her breasts, her lack of width on her hips, the shape of her legs. on the guy, he's got the "noodle arms", but then his legs are more defined, making it feel inconsistent.

lastly i think you can play with line width a little more, and where you do and don't put lines. there are some places, like the second line on the nose, collarbones and nostrils, where you probably don't need lines or can incorporate color to define shape instead of using solid lines.

Okay, so here's the first page of a comic I'm working on, I'm having a little trouble.
I can NOT find any decent 300dpi screentones to tone the comic with. can anybody help me out? This is killing me.
Anyway, I haven't released this anywhere yet, so lemme know if anything bugs you about it, and I'll see if I can fix it.
This first page is a conversation between me and WalkingShrub.
OPINIONSSS?

naturally

some of the panels remind me of adventure time.

RadWalrus

Yeah, I definitely drew inspiration from adventure time. I love how great it's simplistic art looks, so I absorbed certain aspects from it to make panels that I could draw quickly.

WalkingShrub

I'm still sad I missed this. It looks good though! Maybe have some fun with the backgrounds to make it more interesting. (Visually.)

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure out toning. Is there a single soul in here that can help me? I'll kiss you on the mouth.
