Hello interforum people, I'm some dude who uses the alias of WalkingShrub to go about the internet.
I occasionally animate crap, and I am trying to learn to draw people and pretty much everything else as well. In school I study film, so it's natural that I also make films.
Currently I've been getting deeply into music making with ableton, and I'm hoping to get better at that as well. (Y'know, produce stuff that isn't complete shit. :])
I set my speciality to music because that's just what's driving me the most right now. I suspect things will change over time.

Anywho, I was told this place was a great forum to check out, so here I am.
Popping in for a look here because some guy named Radwalrus recommended I do so.

Hopefully you guys'll kick my ass into artistic shape!

I liked what you had going with the song! Mind if I sort of critique it? (If yes, don't read.)

The beat you had was interesting, and I like how you had a sort of atmospheric feeling in the background, but I don't think enough happens throughout the song; especially considering how long it is. I think the most interesting part was around 1:30 when you had the bass synth come in. It started to feel more like it was going somewhere. (ie: variation.)
If I were to touch it up, I'd just add more melody changes, and maybe mess with the tempo a bit. You can get some pretty good groove going on when you change the volume of individual notes as well. Basically I'd just have it change throughout more. Otherwise, I like what you've got!

I like the production value, but I have to say it's not my cup of tea.
Either way, I think you need to have more variety in terms of the music. You can have great lyrics but they won't mean much if there's not enough going on in the music itself.

Good job though!

Dude that one's great! You could definitely use that in something. It obviously doesn't have to be that long, because it's a lot of the same thing over and over, but I love the feel!
