stopping lag in photoshop

frequently when im using photoshop to work on my lineart i have to deal with a stupid lag that constantly registers all of my curve lines as perfectly straight lines. how do you stop this problem? i whish i could describe more of this problem but really thats all there is to it

have you tried going to edit>preferences>performance and unchecking "Enable OpenGL Drawing"? that worked for me when i had lag
