If you are talking about a dedicated server, then surely, count me in, and as for "promises that it will be used", if you allow me to post it on one other website then i can pretty much assure you that it will be used for a long time.

minecraft currently doesnt have server software that is meant to be run from an actual server box so i'm not gonna set up a server until (if ever) there is an actual server software made for servers
