i haven't been online for two and a half days because our 'net shut off randomly.
so tonight i got fed up waiting for service to come back online, so i call our provider and they say the server isn't down.
so i go downstairs and unplug everything and put it back together from scratch. the modem and router is by my dads computer, and he has all these fake plants and stuff back there so it was hard to get around. but i finally put things back in order and i realize, that the last way we had it hooked up, the modem line wasn't even in the router, in fact the line plugin was empty. there was only the ethernet and power coming out of it. so .. i'm wondering, how did we even have a working connection in the first place all this time? well, in any case, all the chords were put back into their proper place and it turned back on.
maybe all this time my internet has been a fluke.

Oh dear.

That happens to me all the time, but the chords are always in. My aunte is like, big with computers, and I asked her how to fix it, and she said "unplug everything, then plug all of it back in," Made me feel like a dumb ass...

Oh well! Glad your back after two and a half days

<@reptilicus> am I in backwards land?
<@reptilicus> if i go to the toilet will poop go up into my rectum

wow.  At least you caught it before calling someone to come fix it.  You would have definately have made their bad tech support list.  I have the honor of being on that list.  I bought and installed new parts for almost everything in my computer but couldn't figure out why it wasn't turning on.  I have done it many times for friends and family without problem.  After a few weeks I called a friend who just laughed and pointed out I never plugged the power into the cpu.  Thats one that is brought up every chance he gets.
